Christina Dörfler is an Austrian based artist, teacher and researcher. She is teaching Art and Fashion Design at KMD-Herbststrasse Vienna and studied Art Education and Textiles focusing on fashion design and textiles at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Since 2018 she is part of the performance collective “Freundliche Mitte”. Through her on-going interdisciplinary art project “Excuse my Dust Series” she experiments with various unorthodox dyeing techniques which involve corrosive materials, natural pigments and sustainable surface-treatments. Her work is a quest for alternative forms of collective gathering, producing and sustainable creating.
